I started Shelter & Bloom to celebrate two of the many things that I love: flowers, and local community. (As a major bonus, I also get to incorporate my love of weddings, gardening, color palettes, interior design, event planning, poetry, and coffee). 

Working out of my studio in Alexandria, Virginia, I source flowers and foliage from growers in Virginia, DC, and Maryland wherever possible. Many of these floral partners are women like myself who practice sustainable, organic farming. I also prioritize seasonal flowers and foliage in my designs to highlight that little something special that makes every design unique and grounds my artistry in this specific space and time.

The S&B event team is a dedicated crew of fellow designers, freelancers, artistic friends, and family.

We also love supporting small businesses and other local artists when purchasing design tools that bring your floral vision to life, including dried florals, ribbon, and supplies.
